Dr. Scott Shaw
Dr. Shaw is a 1998 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed a residency in emergency and critical care medicine in 2002. After he completed his residency, he joined the Faculty at Tufts where he served until 2013. After helping to open a specialty hospital in Hartford Connecticut, he joined VCA as a Regional Medical Director in 2015.
The last several years, he has also assumed the role of Director Patient Safety for VCA. In that role he focuses on understanding how patient safety events happen in veterinary hospitals and developing systems to make the delivery of care safer.
He lives in CT with his wife, son, and an assortment of farm animals.
