Dr. Trish Dettlinger
Dr. Patricia Dettlinger graduated from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 as a member of the Phi Zeta National Honors Society, with numerous awards and accolades. Trish is an adjunct professor at the school and interviews candidates for the Admissions Committee and is a Tufts at Tech mentor. She and her family proudly owned and operated the Sterling Veterinary Clinic for over 30 years, and in that time she has worked extensively with NEADS (National Education for Assistance Dog Services), providing medical and surgical care and serving on the Advisory Board.
Dr. Dettlinger was instrumental in developing the Prison Pup program at the Northeastern Correctional Center in Concord, Massachusetts, and developing a formal partnership between NEADS and VCA. Trish is an accomplished Freestyle skier, equestrian, sailor, musician, and offshore angler, and is the VCA North Atlantic Regional Medical Director.
