Dr. Phil Padrid

Dr. Phil Padrid graduated from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in
1985. He completed an internship at the Santa Cruz Veterinary Hospital in 1986,
followed by a Residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at UC Davis 1986-1988.
From 1988-1990 Dr. Padrid was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Pulmonary and
Critical Care Medicine at the UC Davis School of Medicine.
After completing his Fellowship, Dr Padrid served for 10 years as Associate Professor,
Dep’t of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of
Chicago. Phil is currently Sr. Regional Medical Director for Specialty Hospitals for the VCA/Mars Animal Health. Dr. Padrid is a world-renowned authority on pulmonary disease in dogs and cats and is credited with introducing into the veterinary profession the use of inhaled medications to treat pulmonary disease in dogs and cats.
